General Outpatient

Information When you walk into the hospital to see a doctor, you will be served at the front Reception Desk which will be manned from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm. Outside of these hours the Medical Center Customer Service Officer will attend to you. You will be required to provide your details (name and date of birth) and if you are visiting us for the first time, you will be required to complete a registration form so that a folder and a Medical Record Number (MRN) can be assigned to you. Please note we do not provide appointment times to see a General Practitioner (GP).

Once you are at the Medical Center, you will be called by a nurse for you to be triaged i.e. take your vitals (temperature, weight, pressure etc.). The findings are noted in your folder and placed in the slot in line to be called by a GP. If you have a preference for a GP you may find yourself waiting longer than usual. He /She will only attend to you after those in line before you have been served. If admission is required, the GP will organize the imaging diagnosis and laboratory tests you may require to confirm the need to be admitted.
