We are seeking a service-oriented, engaging, experienced Clinical Assistant to join our clinical team. The incumbent must provide comprehensive administrative and clinical support to Specialist Doctor while ensuring excellent patient care and smooth clinic operations. This role combines clinical expertise with administrative efficiency to support healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate will enjoy a service-oriented role and work efficiently with a dynamic team.

VAC. 05/2025 CLINICAL ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Manager Clinical Excellence, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Assist medical staff during examinations and procedures, including preparation of examination rooms and patients.
  • Record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information in HIS
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing calendar efficiently.
  •  Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  •  Provide exceptional patient care and support throughout their visit.
  •  Manage medical supplies inventory and place orders with internal Stores when needed.
  •  Address patient inquiries and concerns professionally.

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

  •  Diploma in healthcare-related field or equivalent
  •  Preferably Certified Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution
  •  Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  •  Minimum 1 year of experience in the related field of work
  •  Must be an active listener to be able to provide relevant and helpful information.
  •  Must be adaptable and attentive to a wide range of customer needs.
  •  Must possess good telephone etiquette, and excellent Customer Orientation Skills
  •  Capable of working collaboratively with colleagues
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  •  Must be flexible to work in a 24-hour hospital environment

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
