We are looking for a qualified, competent, and passionate Risk Officer. The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact Oceania Private Hospitals’ operations, reputation, and financial stability. This position plays a key role in developing and implementing risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the hospital’s resilience and compliance with regulatory standards.

VAC. 31/2025 RISK OFFICER

Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk & Audit and your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Identify and evaluate potential risks across all areas of the hospital’s operations, including clinical, financial, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize the impact of identified risks.
  • Oversee the reporting and analysis of incidents, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and present risk assessment reports and risk mitigation plans to senior management and the Head of Governance & Risk.
  • Participate in the development and execution of crisis management plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to risk management.
  • Continuously monitor risk factors and update risk assessments as necessary, keeping abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
