IT SUPPORT OFFICER

We are looking for qualified, competent candidates to join our team as IT Support Officer. The ideal candidate should have skills and expertise in providing technical support in all aspects of the ICT systems and services. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for ensuring the security and integrity of computer operations and systems development in accordance with OHPL strategic plan and ICT plan.
VAC. 36/2025 IT SUPPORT OFFICER
Reporting to the Head of ICT, your primary responsibilities are to:
- Contribute to and maintain system standards
- Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
- Maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Provide first line assistance to users when problems with systems and to help to triage and where possible resolve issues immediately or to log and escalate as appropriate.
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain standard licensed desktop software applications like Microsoft Office suite, Adobe reader, etc.
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Install and configure computer hardware, network printers, and scanners
- Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Regularly update ICT fixed asset inventory for audit purposes in accordance with ICT policy
- Assist with network cabling, terminating and troubleshooting
- Valid Driver’s license is essential
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
- A Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in IT and is well versed in Client end administration of structured network
- Knowledge of computer networking, LAN, WLAN installation, configuration, troubleshooting
- Well versed with MS Office.
- Creative, open to new ideas and ability to multi-task effectively
- Good oral, written and communication skills.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
