The Manager Procurement is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods, services, and contracts in alignment with organizational goals, policies, and budgetary guidelines. The role ensures the development of cost-effective and strategic sourcing solutions while maintaining transparency, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations.
VAC 50/2025 MANAGER PROCUREMENT
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your primary responsibilities are to:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved efficiency, and supplier performance.
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process: requisition, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and delivery.
- Forecast procurement needs and establish cost control measures.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and manage procurement risks.
- Prepare procurement reports for management and stakeholders.
- Manage procurement records, purchase orders, and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor KPIs, spending trends, and prepare cost-benefit analysis.
- Recommend improvements based on procurement analytics.
The successful applicant should possess the following skills & attributes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Masters Preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Detail oriented, Proficient in computing and use of office equipment
- A strong multi-tasker, with excellent time management abilities
- Able to work independently while working well with various teams to deliver outcomes.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
