We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and ambitious Graduate Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team. VAC 56/2025 GRADUATE ACCOUNTANT
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your primary responsibilities are to:
- Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and internal standards.
- Assist in the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable functions.
- Assist in preparation of daily bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
- Assist and coordinate stock takes and report variances.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any variances or anomalies.
- Assist Finance Manager with annual budget preparation and periodic forecast updates.
- Ensure that financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Assist in the preparation and lodgement of VAT, and other tax obligations
- Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and financial projects
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is desirable.
- Membership or progress toward membership with a professional accounting body (e.g. CPA Australia, FIA, CA) will be an added advantage.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Competent IT skills (MS Office Suite)
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
