SENIOR CONSULTANT – RADIOLOGIST

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Consultant Radiologist to join our Medical Imaging team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a private healthcare environment. You will work with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate with medical professionals to provide accurate diagnostic services and support through all phases of patient management.
VAC. SENIOR CONSULTANT – RADIOLOGIST
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer Your primary responsibilities are to:
• Provide expert diagnostic and interventional radiology services to ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
• Lead, and mentor radiology staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
• Undertake medico-legal assessments, expert reporting, and peer reviews.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated patient care.
• Support research, audits, and performance improvement initiatives to strengthen clinical governance.
• Contribute to teaching, training, and professional development programs.
• Actively participate in hospital committees, administrative duties, and quality assurance activities
• Performs any other clinical responsibility as assigned by the CMO
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
• Master’s Degree in Radiology or equivalent qualification.
• A registered specialist by the Fiji Medical Council or equivalent qualification and a registered specialist in another country that is recognized by the Fiji Medical Council
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a specialist capacity as a Radiologist with a valid certificate of good standing.
• Specialized training with broad clinical experience in Radiology.
• Understanding of medical and government legislation, policies, and medico-legal compliance.
• Broad knowledge of clinical leadership, audits, research, and governance.
• Proficient in computer systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
