Radiographer/Sonographer

We are seeking skilled, experienced, and competent Radiographer/Sonographer to join our Radiology team. The incumbents must be highly attentive to detail, well organized, and passionate in serving and working with patients of diverse backgrounds to provide the utmost care. The suitable candidate will be responsible for carrying out radiological procedures on customers to the required standards and protocols.
VAC. 14/2026 RADIOGRAPHER/SONOGRAPHER
Reporting to the Manager – Radiology, your primary responsibilities are to:
- Assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
- Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images.
- Position patients safely for examinations and, if necessary, adapt standard techniques, depending on medical conditions associated with disability, illness, or trauma.
- Perform necessary administrative tasks, when required.
To undertake quality control checks on X-rays and associated equipment and contribute to quality assurance and audit initiatives.
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
- Degree in Diagnostic Imaging science.
- Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Registered under the Fiji radiation board and holder of APL from Fiji society of medical imaging technologist.
- Knowledge of all basic ultrasound scans including doppler.
- Ability to perform a wide range of radiographic examinations and procedures on patients as per the required protocols and standards.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
- Able to work independently.
- Personal qualities such as compassion, resourcefulness, stamina, motivation, and perseverance.
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Excellent listening and communication skills for dealing with patients.
- Good IT skills (MS Office Suite)
- Customer-oriented
