We’re seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Accounts Receivable Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our AR team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely collections, accurate reporting, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Reporting to the Manager Finance, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Supervise and lead a team of accounts receivable professionals. Provide guidance and ensure the team’s efficiency in achieving collections goals.
  • Evaluate and establish credit terms for customers. Monitor credit limits and work with the credit department to assess and mitigate credit risks.
  • Regularly review and analyse the accounts receivable aging report. Provide insights to management regarding the status of outstanding receivables and potential risks.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for accounts receivable staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely generation of customer invoices. Ensure invoices are in compliance with company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting accounts receivable processes.

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance or a related field
  • 2–4 years relevant experience in a large office accounts department, with general accounting duties
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of Tax legislation Act Ability to undertake shift work.
  • Able to prioritise work.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people with different backgrounds
  • Good Computer and report-writing knowledge
