Reporting to the Manager Food and Beverages, your primary responsibilities are to:
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
- Cook the exact number of items ordered by each patient, working on several different orders simultaneously.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
- Mix ingredients such as pancake batters.
- Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles.
- Keeps Chef informed on ordering and purchasing needs.
- Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
- Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
- Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
- Assist the Head of F&B maintain stock levels of raw materials and prepared food and place as well as complete orders as directed.
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
- Diploma or Trade Certificate in Cooking
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Formal qualification in food handling e.g. Commercial Cookery.
- Ability to prepare, maintain and present food of the highest standards of quality
- A creative approach to food preparation
- Ability to work as a team.
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Good Communication skills
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
