We are seeking skilled, experienced General Practitioners- Paediatrics to join our team. The incumbents must be highly attentive to detail, well organized and capable of working efficiently in a private health care setting, and work with patients of diverse backgrounds to provide the utmost care. The suitable candidate(s) will be responsible for provision of primary care, continuing patient centered quality care, addressing health needs and promoting wellness.

VAC. 08/2025 GENERAL PRACTITIONER – PAEDIATRICS

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Provision of care that is based on latest evidence and guidelines, meeting legislative requirements.
  • Serving as one of the initial points of contact for patients needing/seeking medical services.
  • Working in collaboration with the Clinical Governance and Chief Medical Officer on development and delivery of enhanced service issues within the practice.
  • Responsibility for partaking in practice team leadership and taking clinical responsibility and accountability for the practice team working to promote the practice positively and engage with patients with the intention of improving service delivery.
  • Adopting a team approach to patient management, encompassing mutual respect for all parties involved in patient care.
  • Provision of skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients.
  • Onward referral of patients as appropriate to In-house specialist services as needed.

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

  • MBBS Degree with full Fiji Medical Practitioner registration.
  • Full Fiji Medical Association or Fiji College of General Practitioner registration
  • Valid Certificate of Good Standing with minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of paediatrics.
  • Excellent attention to detail when managing patients and families.
  • Ability to work under pressure and accommodate different demands.
  • Ability to communicate with a varied group of people with diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to work independently, undertake shift work and attend to on-calls.
  • Personal qualities such as compassion, resourcefulness, stamina, motivation, and perseverance.
  • Confidence to work with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills for dealing with patients.
  • Good IT skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Customer oriented.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
