We are looking for qualified, competent candidates to join our team as Medical Registrar This role includes assessing patients, formulating treatment plans, conducting ward rounds, and supporting junior medical staff. The Registrar ensures clinical excellence while contributing to medical education and research where applicable.

VAC. 40/2025 MEDICAL REGISTRAR

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Take detailed medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic results.
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans under the supervision of consultants.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.
  • Document patient information accurately in accordance with OHPL protocols
  • Guide and mentor junior medical officers and medical students.
  • Provide feedback and support to promote clinical learning and professional development.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and research activities

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognised in Fiji
  • Full registration with Medical Council
  • A minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience
  • Experience in acute and chronic patient management
  • Familiar with evidence-based medicine and protocols

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
