We are seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join our People, Culture, and Learning team. Under the supervision of the Lead Remuneration, Benefits, and Employee Relations, this role will assist in managing OHPL payroll processes and Independent Practitioner (IP) payments. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoy working collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliverables.

VAC. 06/2025 PAYROLL SUPPORT OFFICER

Reporting to the Lead Remuneration, Benefits and Employee Relations, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Assist in fortnightly staff pay using Attaché Accounting / Payroll System
  • Assist in Independent Practitioner payment processing.
  • Assist in statutory payments, payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Attend to staff queries related to Payroll.
  • Maintaining staff leave register/ records.
  • Attending to IP and Staff related queries.
  • Ensure proper and timely filling of payroll documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality and verify that transactions comply to the established financial policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervising officer from time to time.

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

  • A Diploma / Degree in accounting, finance and human resource or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years relevant work experience, knowledge of labour law will be an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge in processing vendor payments.
  • Understanding of basic book-keeping
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Knowledge of the Payroll software ATTACHE will be an added advantage.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly reports and annual audits.
  • Be a good team player with excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Proficiency on English language (oral & written) and general/desktop Microsoft applications.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
