We are seeking for highly motivated Registered Nurses to join our Nursing team. The incumbents must be highly attentive to detail, well organized and capable of working efficiently in a private healthcare setting, and work with patients of diverse backgrounds to provide the best nursing care. The suitable candidate(s) should be able to anticipate/support the medical professional through various phases of patient management.
VAC. 63/2025 REGISTERED NURSE[S]
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, your primary responsibilities are to:
- Provide clinical bedside nursing, clinical nursing consultation, data collection and analysis, basic nursing administration and management.
- Provide primary, secondary and some tertiary nursing care practice and support for patients.
- Carry out patient assessment interventions and treatment within the Hospital in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion.
- Carry out triaging, resuscitation, stabilization and assisting with assessment as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress and identify and charge in status, acting on those changes to ensure patient comfort and safety.
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
- Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years nursing experience
- Valid annual practicing license and registered as a general nurse with the Fiji Nursing Council
- Able to maintain confidentiality of patient’s information.
- Good knowledge of continuous quality improvement, infection control and risk management
- Able to set priorities successfully and work with minimal supervision.
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people with different backgrounds.
- Able to undertake shift work and attend to on-calls.
- Personal qualities such as compassion, resourcefulness, stamina, motivation, and perseverance.
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Excellent listening and communication skills for dealing with patients.
- Good IT skills (MS Office Suite & HIS)
