REGISTERED NURSE[S] – PEDIATRICS

We are seeking a skilled, experienced Pediatric Nurse join our Nursing team. The incumbents must be highly attentive to detail, well organized and capable of working efficiently in a private healthcare setting, and work with patients of diverse backgrounds to provide the best nursing care. The suitable candidate(s) should be able to anticipate/support the medical professional through various phases of patient management.
VAC. 12/2026 REGISTERED NURSE[S] – PEDIATRICS
Reporting to the Senior Consultant & Head of Paediatrics and Neonatology’ Your primary responsibilities are to:
- Care for babies, toddlers, children, and teenagers.
- Record patient’s medical history, symptoms, and vital signs.
- Update patient charts and electronic health records (EHR).
- Use popular medical practice management software.
- Perform medical tasks, including drawing blood and giving shots.
- Observe and monitors paediatric in-patients’ symptoms and vital signs.
- Administer medication and other doctor-recommended treatment plans.
- Advise patients and their parents on medication instructions and at-home care.
- Provide high-quality patient care and is careful and attentive.
- Comfort patients and their parents and has a strong bedside manner.
- Collaborate with nurses and doctors and has strong interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
- Fiji registered nurse with a valid practicing license with Fiji Nursing Council
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse – Pediatrics
- Work experience in PICU / NICU care and have the requisite experience in nursing aspects of ventilators and ventilation.
- Qualified in Basic Life Support. PALS/ NALS would be an added advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the registered nurse and paeds scope of practice, Fiji Nursing Act, Nurses Code of Conduct and Child Welfare Act
- Sound knowledge and competence in obstetric and neonatal emergencies and neonatal resuscitation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency General/Desktop Microsoft Applications.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
