We are seeking for a skilled and responsible Steward Supervisor to join our Dietetics & Nutrition team. The successful candidate will oversee daily stewarding operations to ensure our kitchen and food service areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.

VAC. 65/2025 STEWARD SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Manager Dietetics and Nutrition, your primary responsibilities are to:

• Monitor and enforce highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
• Maintain professional behaviour on-duty and off-duty with the awareness that all actions and communications are within patients or staff view.
• Assists in the preparation of foods in accordance with the Dietary requirements of patient menu and Recipes.
• Deliver all food orders requested in a timely manner.
• Maintain established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation and storage as set by the local health departments, including storing foodstuffs and supplies in appropriate areas
• Expected to promote sanitation in the kitchen area.
• Other general duties including the maintenance of a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen and cafeteria.

The successful applicant preferably should have the following:

• Recognised Certificate in Trade Cookery, Food Nutrition, and Food Management and/or in a similar role from a recognized institution.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in the cleaning and routine maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge in handling kitchen utensils such as knives and basic kitchen appliances.
• Working knowledge of Food and Safety Act
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Understanding of Food Safety

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
