Dr. Mary Tuke Maafu has been in the medical fraternity for 27 years and has practiced medicine in various Pacific Island Countries since 1996. She hails from the two beautiful Islands of Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea where she started her career as a General Practitioner as well as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Registrar.
In 2000 she ventured into the department of Anesthesia and for two years she joined the Solomon Islands National Referral Hospital as an Anesthetic Consultant.
From 2009 to 2017, Dr. Maafu was with the Cook Islands, Rarotonga Hospital as their Anesthetic Consultant where she trained the local hospital doctors in Anesthetics.
In the 2018, Dr. Maafu spent some time in Santo Vanuatu at the Northern Provincial Hospital and in the Federated States of Micronesia at the Chuuk Hospital as an Anesthetic before moving to Fiji in 2019 where she joined the Nasese Private Hospital as their General Practitioner and Anesthetic.
Dr. Maafu joined Oceania in 2022.
