We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Inventory Officers to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management, monitoring, and control of hospital inventory to support uninterrupted patient care and hospital operations.
VAC. 31/2026 INVENTORY OFFICER (2)
Reporting to the Manager Inventory, Assets & Analytics, your primary responsibilities will include:
➢ Manage and monitor hospital inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels at all times
➢ Maintain accurate inventory records and control stock movements (receiving, storage, transfers, issuance)
➢ Apply inventory control principles (FIFO & FEFO) and minimize wastage, losses, and discrepancies
➢ Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly)
➢ Reconcile physical stock with system records
➢ Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
➢ Identify and report expired, damaged, or slow-moving stock
➢ Support audits and ensure compliance with inventory policies and regulatory standards
➢ Prepare inventory reports and assist with forecasting and planning
➢ Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth inventory operations
➢ Work closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams
➢ Communicate stock availability and shortages
➢ Support operational planning with accurate inventory data
The successful applicant preferably should have the following:
➢ Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Pharmacy, Finance, or related field (Degree preferred)
➢ 2–3 years’ experience in inventory/stores/warehouse or supply chain roles
➢ Strong understanding of inventory management principles and systems
➢ Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
➢ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
➢ Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
➢ High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism
