Orthopeadic Surgeon

More About The Doctor:

Dr. Vaigalo Eddie Mccaig has been in the medical fraternity for 19 years as an Orthopedic Surgeon and he started his career in 2005 as an Intern at CWM Hospital. In 2006 he was appointed as the Medical Officer for Vunidawa Hospital and in 2007 he joined the surgical unit at CWM.

For two years Dr. Mccaig worked as an Orthopedic Registrar in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In 2015 he returned to Fiji and joined the Lautoka Hospital as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and later joined Oceania Hospitals Pte Ltd in 2021 as the in-house Orthopedic Surgeon.

Dr. Mccaig has been involved with the Fiji Rugby team since 2013 and with FASANOC since 2007. Some of the international games he been part of as the doctor for the Fiji Team has been the Rugby World Cup in 2015, the Pacific Games in 2007, the Pacific Mini Games in 2009, the Mini Games in 2013 and the Rio Olympics in 2016.

2008 – Diploma in General Surgery from Fiji School of Medicine

2011 – Masters in General Surgery from Fiji School of Medicine
